Summary report on hospital restructuring, 1996 - 1999

The HSRC issues news releases whenever:
Members of the HSRC have written and spoken on restructuring related issues. A selection of recent articles and speeches is included.
In every community where the HSRC reviews health services, two reports are produced. There is the initial design or Notices. Following this, the HSRC issues Directions, or final report. These reports describe the size and location of hospital services, how those services will be run and recommendations to the Ministry of Health for required reinvestments.
The HSRC has produced a number of reports that explain the goals of its work. Other reports describe Commission policies and criteria used in the restructuring of health services.
