Important News Regarding Long-Term Care Home Co-payment Rates
Long-Term Care Resident Co-Payment Rates Increasing July 1, 2007
Effective July 1, 2007, the LTC basic daily maximum co-payment rate will increase from the current rate of $49.76 to $50.76, an increase of $1.00, consistent with the rate of inflation. The table below provides the revised co-payment rates, effective July 1, 2007 :

The Comfort Allowance will increase effective November 1, 2007, from the current rate of $119/month to $122/month.
If your annual net income is below $19,955, you may be eligible for a co-payment rate reduction. To apply for a reduction or to maintain eligibility for a rate reduction if you are already receiving one, you must complete an “Application for Reduction in Long-Term Care Home Accommodation Fees”, by July 31, 2007.
