On March 27, 2006, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care will transfer the management and operation of the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital (WPH), which is currently known as the Whitby Mental Health Centre, to the Whitby Mental Health Centre Corporation, a public hospital under the Public Hospitals Act.

If you are a patient, or former patient of the WPH, your records will become the responsibility of the Whitby Mental Health Centre Corporation. Current services will not be affected and your records will remain confidential.
