Improving Access to Key Healthcare Surgeries and Procedures Across Ontario

The McGuinty government is improving access to four key health care services as part of its Wait Time Strategy. The additional $108.8 million announced today includes $49.4 million for 127,266 additional procedures across Ontario :
- $27.4 million for 3,008 more hip and knee joint replacements
- $5.0 million for 6,100 more cataract surgeries
- $11.9 million for 46,300 more MRI exams
- $5.1 million for 71,858 more CT exams
