Mental Health Website Provides Students with Valuable Resources
Text version [RTF]

Recently the Ontario government launched a new mental health website www.workinginmentalhealth.ca. The new site provides valuable resources for anyone considering a career in the mental health field or looking for a new position within the sector. In addition, it provides valuable information about college and university programs offering mental health training, grants and scholarships and student placement opportunities.

Many feel that this website will be a helpful resource for those who are interested in seeking a career in the mental health field. "I think many people are drawn to the clientele and the population they get to work with, as opposed to being stuck behind a desk all day long," said Judy Shanks, Chief Executive Officer at Canadian Mental Health Association - Cochrane-Timiskaming Branch. "I interact with the clients daily and it is a true privilege to work with people who see the world in such a different light."

Visit www.workinginmentalhealth.ca. Learn about the rewards of working in the mental health field.
